Trash-to-Art Sculpture Contest

As part of our commitment to marine conservation and environmental education, the Trash-to-Art Sculpture Contest invites artists, local residents, students, and creative minds of all backgrounds to transform waste into wonder. This contest not only encourages the creative reuse of discarded materials but also serves as a platform to raise awareness about sustainability and the impact of human actions on the environment.

Participants are challenged to design and construct sculptures using waste materials or natural materials sourced locally. Each piece should reflect the theme of “Harmony with Nature: A Sustainable Future” and creatively communicate a message related to ocean conservation, waste reduction, or the beauty and fragility of marine ecosystems.

Submission Deadline:
All sculptures must be completed and submitted to the organizing team by 26 June 2025 before 5:00 PM at the Spotlight Koh Tao 2025 event area, Sairee Beach.

Minimum Size Requirement:
Each sculpture must be at least 1.2 meters x 1.2 meters in dimension.

Materials:
Participants must use locally-sourced waste or discarded materials. All materials should be environmentally safe and should not generate additional waste during the creation process.
