Watershed Forest Rehabilitation
INTRODUCTION
Despite the festival’s greatest efforts to leave as little carbon footprint, it is impossible to achieve a net zero. As a way to make up for this, it will offer attendees the opportunity to obtain young trees and plant them wherever they would like around the island. By the same occasion, this activity seeks to raise awareness to the vital role trees play in the island’s ecosystem. Agricultural officers from Koh Phangan will be available at the booth to provide you with recommendations upon your request.
GOALS
To combat climate change, we aim to plant as many trees as possible during the festival time to reduce carbon footprints, preserve ecological balance, minimize the risk of floods and droughts, and alleviate the adverse effects of climate change.
ACTIVITY DETAILS
Receive young trees at no charge from the Punrak Farm booth at the festival and grow them in any desired locations in Koh Tao throughout the festival period.
